Dr. Xiao received her O.M.D degree in 1978 from Guang-Dong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  In 2002, she received her Ph.D. in oriental Medicine from American Liberty University.  In addition to her degree, she has over 25 years of clinical experience in the field of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine.

In addition, Dr. Xiao worked with doctors, chiropractors and other health professionals in a collaborative process, and she is familiar with integrating western and eastern medical practices.  This experience has familiarized her with the power of combining both eastern and western medicine.

The California Certified Acupuncturists Association has recognized her for outstanding practice.  She has profound experience restoring immune system energy using acupuncture and herbs.  Also, she is specializing in the following areas:

  • Relieving pain-related symptoms

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome and other repetitive-motion injuries

  • Relieve pain and inflammation in the muscles and tendons and may eliminate the need for surgery

  • Other typical work injuries include sprains to the neck or back with muscle swelling and pain and sometime inflammation in the nerves or discs

  • Personal injuries, typical "whiplash" injury, includes headaches, neck and back pain and weakness, muscle spasms and cramps and sometimes pain which radiates into the arms or legs.  All of these respond very favorably to acupuncture treatment
